Drug trafficker gets 14 years in prison

The Southern California leader of a heroin trafficking ring has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison. Prosecutors in Riverside say 32-year-old Salvador Gonzalez-Chavez of Fontana was convicted earlier of conspiring to distribute and possess heroin. He was sentenced on Monday. Gonzalez-Chavez was the leader of a drug trafficking organization involving at least 19 co-conspirators.
